What is Business Class High-Speed 2go™ service?

Comcast's Business Class High-Speed 2go™ is an exciting new Mobile Broadband service that provides blazing fast Internet connectivity when you are out of the office.

Comcast offers two High-Speed 2go™ services: High-Speed 2go Metro and High Speed 2Go Nationwide. With High-Speed 2go™ Metro service, you'll be able to wirelessly connect to the Internet practically anywhere in your local coverage area at super fast 4G speeds. With High-Speed 2go™ Nationwide service, you will have access to both the 4G mobile broadband network and an extended 3G mobile broadband network providing connectivity across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other countries (roaming rates apply).

What is the difference between Metro & Nationwide High-Speed 2go™ service?

Metro High-Speed 2go™ service leverages a state of the art wireless network known as "4G" to deliver the fastest available mobile broadband speeds.

With Metro High-Speed 2go™ service you can connect at blazing fast download speeds of up to 3.0 - 6.0 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.0 Mbps.

Comcast's Mobile 4G service is up and running in select metropolitan areas and will continue to grow over the coming months.

Nationwide High-Speed 2go™ service provides mobile broadband service nationwide via a combination of the Comcast Mobile 4G and 3G networks. The Comcast Mobile 3G Network is available in most areas where you get cell phone coverage today and therefore covers much of the continental United States. The Comcast Mobile 3G Network provides download speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps.

What is 4G?

4G is the newest technology for mobile broadband communications. With 4G, you can connect at speeds of up to 3.0 - 6.0 Mbps. 4G also allows users to stay fully connected to the office while on the go by providing access to e-mail, VPN, interactive multimedia, and high-quality streaming video while within the 4G coverage area. Comcast's Mobile 4G service is up and running in select metropolitan areas in the continental United States and our coverage is expanding. Check out our expanding network of 4G coverage.

What is the difference between the 3G and 4G?

3G is the most common mobile network standard that allows users to transmit voice and data. Most cellular telephones operate on 3G service. 4G is the next evolution in wireless communication, allowing download speeds of up to 3.0 - 6.0 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.0 Mbps.

Comcast gives you the choice to pick the service that's best for your business. Comcast High-Speed 2go Metro service brings high speed mobile Internet access to your laptop using the 4G network. With Comcast High-Speed 2go Metro service, you can download at blazing fast speeds of up to 3.0 - 6.0 Mbps download, and up to 1.0 Mbps upload.

Comcast High-Speed 2go Nationwide service lets you connect to the 4G mobile broadband network, where it's available. Outside the 4G service coverage area, your Mobile Broadband Device will connect your laptop to the 3G mobile broadband network, supporting Internet download speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps.

What is the difference between WiFi and Comcast High-Speed 2go™ service?

WiFi is used to provide a high speed wireless connection within a limited area (in tens of feet) like a home, office, or coffee shop. WiFi is commonly referred to as a Local Area Network (LAN) technology. Comcast's High-Speed 2go™ Metro service is based upon a 4G mobile broadband technology called WiMAX. WiMAX provides mobile broadband network across a much broader coverage area than WiFi. WiMAX is commonly referred to as a Wide Area Network (WAN) technology, due to its ability to provide a much broader coverage area; e.g., covering most a metro area, where available.

How do I know which service is best for me – Metro or Nationwide High-Speed 2go™ service?

Our Metro High-Speed 2go™ service leverages state-of-the-art technology to deliver to you the fastest available wireless speeds, download speeds of up to 3.0 - 6.0 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 1.0 Mbps, in an expanding network of select metropolitan areas. This service is ideal for you if you only intend to use the Mobile Broadband service within the Comcast Mobile 4G service Area. Connectivity outside of these selected areas is not available. If you expect that you’ll connect outside of the Comcast Mobile 4G service Area areas, that’s not a problem!

Our Nationwide High-Speed 2go™ service will enable you to also connect to the Comcast Mobile 3G service Area – that’s almost anywhere you can get cell phone coverage! You’ll still be connected at 3G speeds which provide download speeds of up to 1.4 Mbps.
