Comcast Business High-Performance Ethernet Network Brings Speed and Reliability to Bothell, Washington, Business Parks
$500,000 investment brings high-capacity and scalable network services to the Canyon Park Business Center and Canyon Park Gateway
BOTHELL, Wash. – December 14, 2017 – Comcast Business today announced a nearly $500,000 fiber network expansion to the Canyon Park area in Bothell, Washington. Capable of delivering up to 10 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps) of network capacity, Comcast’s high-speed, scalable and reliable network services will be available to 120 businesses located in the Canyon Park Business Center and the Canyon Park Gateway area.
In the Canyon Park Business Center, a business park located at the intersection of I-405 and the Bothell-Everett Highway, Comcast Business’ investment in a new Ethernet network will connect the 18 buildings owned by SteelWave, a full-service commercial, residential and mixed-use real-estate management, operating company and investment management firm.
“We’re 95-percent-occupied, and my tenants are always asking if Comcast is available,” said Liza Skorupski, property manager for SteelWave. “A lot of my tenants are on DSL, and they’re not working at the speed they need to reach their full potential. Comcast is known nationwide for its speed, and this deal can help our tenants to do their best work.”
In nearby Canyon Park Gateway, Comcast’s network will reach up to 10 buildings located within several high-traffic areas. Together with the Canyon Park Business Center, Comcast’s Ethernet expansion will bring innovative and high-speed Ethernet, internet, video and voice services to 120 businesses across a variety of industries, including healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, retail, dining and hospitality.
“High-performance networks are now just as, if not more, important to business success as other traditional factors, such as physical location,” said Matt Fassnacht, vice president of Comcast Business in Washington. “Canyon Park businesses can now leverage our reliable network, fast internet speeds and advanced technology services to stand out from the competition and drive growth. This, in turn, can spur local economic development by keeping existing companies happy as well as attracting new businesses to the area.”
Comcast Business offers a comprehensive portfolio of multi-Gigabit Ethernet options that can help meet the day-to-day demands of organizations requiring large amounts of bandwidth, looking to link multiple sites or branch locations, or planning to connect their offices to a third-party data center. Services offered include Ethernet Private Lines, Ethernet Virtual Private Lines, Ethernet Network Service and Ethernet Dedicated Internet.
