The role of the bank branch remains vital, yet is changing sharply. Declining traffic and transaction volume are accelerating efforts to reimagine and reconfigure the branch so that it remains a key element in the overall customer experience, integrated with other customer touch points. Part of this change involves upgrading the ambience of traditional branches. Part is shifting workforce skills. Part is installing supporting technology to enable a fully integrated view of the customer.
