Assign a phone number to a Comcast Business My Account user

Introduction

If you are a Comcast Business Voice customer, assigning a phone number allows a user to easily manage features for that phone number online. Follow the simple instructions provided below to assign a phone number. Please read ahead if you would like to unassign a phone number from a My Account user.

Note: Only the Primary Manager or Services Manager can assign or unassign a phone number.

Assign a phone number

  1. Step 1:

    Sign in to My Account and select Users from the Manage Account menu.

  2. Step 2:

    Locate the user to whom you want to assign a phone number. In the Primary Phone column, select Assign Phone Number for that user. (To edit a previously assigned phone number, select Settings in the Phone column for that user and follow the steps below.)

  3. Step 3:

    Select + Add Phone Number in the Comcast Business phone number section.

  4. Step 4:

    Select which number to assign to the user.

  5. Step 5:

    Select the green check mark when you are finished.

Unassign a phone number

  1. Step 1:

    Sign in to My Account and select Users from the Manage Account menu.

  2. Step 2:

    Select Settings underneath the name of the user whose phone number you want to unassign.

  3. Step 3:

    In the Comcast Business phone number section, select the blue pencil beside the user's phone number.

  4. Step 4:

    Select Unassign Number.

  5. Step 5:

    Select Confirm in the popup window.

  6. Step 6:

    Select the green check mark when you are finished.
