Introduction

At Comcast, we strive to keep rates reasonable for our customers but from time to time, it’s necessary to increase fees in order to keep pace with the costs of providing service. In the last several years, we have made significant upgrades to our network, customer equipment and software in order to provide a fast and reliable experience for our Comcast Business customers.

As we continue to make investments in the network and service, we periodically need to adjust prices due to the increase in business costs. Starting June 1, 2015, fees for Static IP addresses for Comcast Business Internet customers and toll-free services for Comcast Business Voice and Advanced Voice customers will increase as follows on the next bill statement.

Static IP Price Changes

Starting June 1, 2015, the monthly rates for Comcast Business Internet customers with Static IP Addresses will increase as follows:

# of Static IP Addresses New Monthly Rate
1 $19.95
5 $24.95
13 $39.95

The above monthly rates exclude equipment, taxes and any other fees.

Why am I being charged a monthly fee for Static IP addresses?

We are re-aligning our Static IP address charges with the market, including charging for every Static IP.

Toll-free Price Changes

The monthly rate for toll-free numbers for Comcast Business Voice and Advanced Voice (Business VoiceEdge, SIP, PRI) customers will increase to $10.00 per toll-free line. The monthly rate excludes equipment, taxes and any other fees associated with the service.

What if I have more than one toll-free line?

Your account will be charged the new monthly rate of $10 for each one of your toll-free lines. For example, if you have 3 toll-free numbers, you will be charged $30 per month.

Will my usage or other rates associated with my toll-free lines change?

No, only the monthly recurring charge will be increasing as a result of this change.

My monthly fee for Static IP addresses was adjusted earlier this year – why am I seeing another increase?

Earlier this year, we conducted a routine account review and determined some Comcast Business accounts were being charged below the standard rate code for Static IP addresses. This initiative impacted a small subset of customers. The increases above are part of a national pricing initiative. In an effort to keep rates reasonable for our customers, it’s necessary to increase fees from time to time in order to keep pace with the costs of providing service.
