Understanding your Comcast Business bill

Introduction

You can view your bill from anywhere, on any device, anytime you want. Sign in to My Account to view your monthly statement or current balance. This article provides an overview of the information that appears on your bill each month, so you'll know exactly what you're paying for and what to expect. We'll also explain things that may differ from your regular monthly rate, like adding new services.


1. News from Comcast
This section contains important messages about your account.

2. "One-Stop Shop" Box
This shows you a snapshot of your key billing information.

3. Monthly Statement Summary
This section lists the total amount due on the account, and provides a breakdown of the previous balance, last payment, new charges, and payment due date.

4. New Charges Summary
This section provides a summary of all new charges for your current billing period, including applicable recurring charges, prorates, credits, taxes, surcharges, and fees.

5. Savings Message
If you are taking advantage of a promotion or receive any discounts, this section may show your savings in comparison to Comcast's full service rates. This section may not appear in all areas.

6. Payment slip
Return this slip with your payment if you are paying by check or money order.

7. Service Details
Get detailed information about new charges listed by product for your current billing period.

8. Partial Month Charges & Credits
If you add or remove a service during your billing period, partial month charges or credits for those services are listed here. This section does not appear on every bill.

9. Other Charges & Credits
This section includes fees not covered in other areas of your bill, like installation fees and any credits to your account. This section does not appear on every bill.

10. Taxes, Surcharges & Fees
This section lists a breakdown of taxes, franchise fees, and other fees that apply to your Comcast services.

Check this section for important messages about your account, products and services.

 

2. "One-Stop Shop" Box

The first place to go to get important information:

Your account number.

Billing date is the date your bill was generated, not the due date.

Unpaid balance is the past due amount (if any) on your account.

Total amount due is the total amount due on your account, including past due balance and new charges.

Payment due by is for the current billing period.

After your initial statement, your billing cycle will remain the same. Your bill will be due the same date each month.

 

3. Monthly Statement Summary

In this section you will see:

Previous balance is the balance from your last statement.

Payment is the amount of the last payment we received, and the date it was posted to your account

Unpaid balance is the past due balance (if any) on your account as of the billing date.

New charges is the total balance for your current billing cycle only. This does not include any past due balance.

Total amount due is the total amount due on your account, including any past due balance and new charges.

Payment due by is the due date for the current billing period.

 

 

4. New Charges Summary

This section provides a quick overview of your new charges for the current billing period. Details and additional information regarding the charges can be found on page 2 of your statement.

 

5. Savings Message

If you are taking advantage of promotions or discounts, this section will show how much you are saving and notify you when your promotions or discounts are about to expire.

 

6. Payment slip

Simply tear it off and mail this with your check or money order. Better yet, you can make a payment online or set up monthly payments. Get more information regarding payment options.

 

7. Service Details

A breakdown of your new charges for the current billing period. This part of the bill is divided by bundled services and a la carte services for TV, Internet, and Voice.

If you subscribe to Comcast Business Voice, you will see a Universal Connectivity Charge and a Regulatory Recovery Fee listed as separate line items in the Voice services section of your statement. Get more information on these and other taxes, surcharges and fees that apply to your service.

 

8. Partial Month Charges & Credits

If you add, change, or remove a service during your billing cycle, any partial month charges or credits are listed here along with a brief description of the changes.

For example, if you add a new service to your account prior to the end date of your billing cycle, you will see charges for that service for the remaining days of your billing cycle. In addition, since Comcast bills one month in advance for services, you will notice a full month's charge for the service for the upcoming billing cycle.

 

9. Other Charges & Credits

This section will only appear if there are relevant charges to display. Relevant charges are credits applied to your account, Installation and Service fees or other fees like returned check fees, late fees, reactivation fees, etc.

 

10. Taxes, Surcharges & Fees

A breakdown of taxes, surcharges, and fees that apply to your Comcast services. Get more information on these and other taxes, surcharges and fees that apply to your service.
