Introduction

Microsoft® is replacing the Hosted Exchange email platform with Microsoft® Office 365. The Office 365 platform offers users various options for email and storage capacity. As a result, Comcast Business will begin retiring its Hosted Exchange email offering. Following the retirement date, Comcast Business will not offer Microsoft email with Comcast Business Internet service. 

You will start receiving additional communications from Comcast Business with options for migrating your company's email service to the new Microsoft platform. These additional communications will be sent to the primary email address on file (please check SPAM folders to ensure you receive these communications).

Why the upgrade?
Comcast wants to ensure that our customers have the most up-to-date products currently offered in the market and is migrating Hosted Exchange customers to the Office 365 email platform. 

What does it mean for me?
You will receive communications from Comcast with instructions on how to begin your migration. We will handle the end-to-end migration and notify you when it is complete. You will maintain access to your email throughout the migration process. We only ask that you do not add/delete users 48-hours prior to your migration date/time.

How do I benefit?
Office 365 is the latest version of email. It is easily upgradeable to full online and desktop versions of Office 365. Office 365 is built for reliability, availability and performance, with automatic backups and disaster-recovery protection built in, so you can have peace of mind that Microsoft is hosting your email. 

How do I access my email account after the migration date?
Once migrated, you will access your email through the Cloud Solutions Marketplace

I don't want to migrate to Office 365, what now?
You will be given the opportunity to download a .pst file with your email data. This will enable you to take your emails, directories, calendar and contact list to another email provider if you so choose.
