The channels that we provide to our customers are carried under contracts that expire from time to time.

Why do Programming Agreements Expire?

Owners of program content authorize distribution of that content to distributors like Comcast (and other cable and satellite companies.)  Like any contract, they exist for a fixed period of time and then expire. If a contract expires it doesn’t mean that programming will disappear from any lineup.  It means that there is a possibility of that occurring. We typically renew such agreements without service interruption.

What Happens if a Distribution Agreement Can't be Reached?

We typically renew our agreements without service interruption, but in the event an agreement can't be reached, the programmer may no longer permit us to carry its channels.

Why Did You Create a Special Website Just for Contract Renewals?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires that customers be notified at least 30 days in advance of any changes to their programming lineup. We created the contract renewals page to let our customers know 60 days in advance of any program contract expiration.
