Set up speed dialing on your phone

Introduction

Save time with the contacts you frequently call by assigning a speed dial number. You can store as many as 30 or as few as 8 numbers.

Note: When creating your list for the first time, be sure to enter the area code plus the seven-digit number for both local and long-distance numbers.

Speed Dial 8

To set up Speed Dial 8 from your phone:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press *74 and listen for the stutter dial tone.

  3. Enter a speed dial digit between 2 and 9.

  4. Dial the phone number you'd like the digit to represent.

  5. Listen for the voice prompt confirmation.

  6. To add the next number, repeat steps 2 through 5.

To use Speed Dial 8:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press the speed dial number for the number you wish to call, then press #.

Speed Dial 30

To set up Speed Dial 30:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press *75 and listen for the stutter dial tone.

  3. Enter a speed dial digit between 20 and 49.

  4. Dial the phone number you would like the digits to represent.

  5. Listen for the voice prompt confirmation.

  6. To add the next number, repeat steps 2 through 5.

To use Speed Dial 30:
  1. Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.

  2. Press the speed dial digits that represent the number you wish to call, then press #.
