Download and use the Business VoiceEdge Companion app

The Business VoiceEdge Companion app connects your Comcast Business VoiceEdge service to various tools, such as Be Anywhere, Audio Conferencing, Google Chrome, and Skype for Business (Windows only), right from your desktop.

Download and install

  1. Navigate to the app page, select Try the Free Edition and then follow the steps to subscribe.

    Note: When prompted, sign in to My Account using your Business VoiceEdge credentials.

  2. Once downloaded, the app will appear in the My Apps section of your Cloud Solutions account. Select the app icon and use the provided links to begin the installation process.

  3. Open the app from the downloaded location and sign in using your VoiceEdge credentials. Select the toggles to enable the individual features. (Audio Conferencing is enabled by default; select the toggle to disable it). 

    Click Finish to complete the installation.

    Note: If you choose not to activate a feature during the initial setup, you can enable it at any time from the Settings menu in the app.


Use app features


Initiate a call by entering a phone number or selecting a contact from your group directory.

Be Anywhere

Define phones to make and receive calls from any phone or mobile device at any location with only one phone number. Add devices and enable the Be Anywhere feature to use them as extensions to your primary number.

Audio Conferencing

Read or listen to your voicemails from your desktop.

Recent Calls

View your incoming, outgoing and missed call history.


After installing the app, there will be a small CB icon next to phone numbers while using your business applications. Select the icon to initiate a call through the companion app.


In Skype for Business, select Call with Business VoiceEdge with the CB icon from the menu.
