Introduction

The Business VoiceEdge Companion app connects your Comcast Business VoiceEdge service to various tools, such as Audio Conferencing, Google Chrome, and Skype for Business (Windows only). Audio Conferencing allows you to set up a conference directly from the app while the Chrome and Skype integrations allow phone numbers to be called from any phone connected to your Business VoiceEdge account.

Download and install

  1. Navigate to the app page, select Try the Free Edition and then follow the steps to subscribe.

    Note: When prompted, sign in to My Account using your Business VoiceEdge credentials.
     

  2. Once downloaded, the app will appear in the My Apps section of your Cloud Solutions account. Select the app icon and use the provided links to begin the installation process.


     
  3. Open the app from the downloaded location and sign in using your VoiceEdge credentials. Select the toggles to enable the individual features. (Audio Conferencing is enabled by default; select the toggle to disable it). 

    Click Finish to complete the installation.

    Note: If you choose not to activate a feature during the initial setup, you can enable it at any time from the Settings menu in the app.

 

Use app features

Audio Conferencing

For information on using Audio Conferencing, please read Use Business VoiceEdge Audio Conferencing.

Chrome

After installing the app, there will be a small CB icon next to phone numbers while using your business applications. Select the icon to initiate a call through the companion app.

Skype

In Skype for Business, select Call with Business VoiceEdge with the CB icon from the menu.
