Introduction

Business VoiceEdge companion apps connect your Comcast Business VoiceEdge service to various tools, such as Skype for Business, Google Chrome, Office 365 and Salesforce.com. These apps allow phone numbers to be called from any phone connected to your Business VoiceEdge account.

All applications can be found on the Cloud Solutions home page.

 

Download and install Business VoiceEdge companion apps

  1. Step 1:

    Sign in to My Account and select Cloud Solutions

  2. Step 2:

    Select All Applications and filter by Comcast Voice Apps. Select the Comcast Business VoiceEdge companion app for additional details. 

  3. Step 3:

    Select Try the Free Edition.

    Note: Free applications must still go through the order process but will reflect a cost of $0.00 on your account.

  4. Step 4:

    Follow the prompts to subscribe to the app.

  5. Step 5:

    Select My Apps. Select the downloaded app and use the provided links to begin the installation process.

Use Business VoiceEdge companion apps

After downloading a Business VoiceEdge companion app, there will be a small CB icon next to phone numbers while using your business applications in Google Chrome.

Select the CB icon next to the phone number to initiate a call through the Business VoiceEdge companion app. In Skype for Business, select Call with Business VoiceEdge with the CB icon from the menu.

Note: If you have not set a default phone, select which device to place the call from.
