Installation reminder template

To send a reminder for the installation date with tips on how to prepare and links to other resources, click the installation reminder template link to download the message to your PC and open in Outlook, or reference the full text below.

Get ready for our new phone system!

On [enter date] beginning at [enter appointment window start time], a Comcast Technician will arrive to begin setting up your new VoIP phone. While they are installing your new phone, they may need access to jacks and power in and around your desk. You will also receive an email from Comcast. It is important you go in and click the “Activate Now” button to begin setting up your portal access and voicemail. If you need help while setting it up, please click here to begin your VoiceEdge online experience.

If you have not received it, please check your junk email folder before contacting me since it may have been flagged as a solicitation.

What you need to do to prepare:

Learn how to use your new phone by checking out the Quick Reference Guide for your phone. Our new phone model is the [enter phone model name/number]. Using the guide, you’ll learn how to set up your voicemail for the first time, transfer calls, and access your web-based portal to manage your phone features.

Did you know that with your new phone you can also receive and place calls from your Mobile device when you are away from your desk, but utilizing your work number! You also have access to your own personal Audio Conference room for up to 50 participants through the Mobile or Desktop applications.

Your New Phone is Ready!

Your phone installation is complete. Attached is an updated list of contacts with extensions and direct dial numbers. Remember you will need to do the following to get started with your phone:

  1. Access the email sent from Comcast and click on “Activate Now” in the email to set up your online access and voicemail pin.

  2. Check out the Quick Reference Guides for your phone and other resources listed below to get familiar with your new phone.

After you activate your service, get started using the Mobile App or Desktop Companion to take advantage of the Audio Conferencing feature. Click on the links for more information.

If you are having any problems with your phone, please let me know.

The basic phone sessions will be 30-45 minutes and includes an overview of the mobile app and desktop companion app with audio conferencing.
