Access the voicemail inbox

  1. Step 1:

    Sign in to My Account and select VoiceEdge from the Manage Services dropdown.

  2. Step 2:

    Expand the Voicemail section and select Inbox.

    Note: The inbox displays 25 voicemails at a time beginning with the most recent.

Set greetings

  1. Step 1:

    Expand the Voicemail section and select Greetings.

  2. Step 2:

    In the Greeting Only section, turn the Greeting Only feature On or Off. Select the Pencil icon to modify Greetings features.

  3. Step 3:

    Select Disconnect Call After Greeting or Forward Call After Greeting. Enter the phone number in the Phone Number or Extension field if Forward Call After Greeting is selected. Select the Checkmark to confirm.

  4. Step 4:

    In the Set Standard Greeting (Name Only) section, select the Pencil icon.
  5. Step 5:

    To create a new standard greeting, select Edit Standard Greeting and select Record.

    To upload a name, select Upload Your Name. Select Upload to upload a .WAV file.

    Note: If you wish to record your name through a hand set via the Voice Portal, select the More Info link.

  6. Step 6:

    Ensure your microphone is on, then select Begin Recording and speak the greeting. Select Stop Recording when finished.

  7. Step 7:

    Select the Play button to listen to the recording. Select Record Again if desired, or select Save Recording.

    Note: You won’t be able to listen to your recording after it is saved.

  8. Step 8:

    In the Voicemail Pickup Options section, select the Pencil icon. Make a selection from the Number of Rings dropdown. Select the Checkbox to enable the New Voicemail Indicator.

  9. Step 9:

    In the Busy Greeting Options section, select the Pencil icon. Select Standard Greeting (Name Only) to upload a recording of your name. Select Personal Greeting and select Upload to upload a personal greeting.

  10. Step 10:

    In the No Answer Greeting Options section, select the Pencil icon. Select Standard Greeting (Name Only), Personal Greeting or Alternate 1-3. Select Upload to upload an alternate greeting. Select the Checkmark to confirm.

Access advanced voicemail settings

  1. Step 1:

    Expand the Voicemail section and select Advanced Features.

  2. Step 2:

    Turn Readable Voicemail Settings On or Off.

    Note: Transcriptions may not be error-free – if the transcript does not look accurate, listen to the voicemail.

  3. Step 3:

    Turn Voicemail to Email Notifications On or Off.

    Enter an email address in the Email field and select Do not store voicemail on server or Store voicemails in your Voicemail Inbox.

    Select the Checkmark to confirm.

Manage distribution lists

  1. Step 1:

    Expand the Voicemail section and select Distribution List.

  2. Step 2:

    Distribution lists are numbered and accessible under the Distribution List header. Select a number to load the desired distribution list.

    Note: If creating a new distribution list, enter the list name. Select the Checkmark to confirm changes.

  3. Step 3:

    Select Add a Number to add a number to the distribution list.

Transfer voicemails

  1. Step 1:

    Expand the Voicemail section and select Transfer.

  2. Step 2:

    Select the Pencil icon.

  3. Step 3:

    Select the Checkbox to enable Transfer from Voicemail and fill in the Phone Number or Extension field. Select the Checkmark to confirm.

  4. Step 4:

    Select the Pencil icon. Select the Checkbox to enable Send busy calls to voicemail and/or Send unanswered calls to voicemail. Select the Checkmark to confirm.
