Employees are working from home more than ever before, and that has an impact on the enterprise network infrastructure – applications and resources must be securely and reliably available. So what keeps IT up at night when it comes to remote connectivity?
We polled 1,508 IT professionals about their biggest concern when it comes to employees working from home. Only 20% of respondents named security-related concerns (15% are worried about security in general and 5% about authentication and authorization). And cost seems to be a virtual non-issue, getting only 3% of responses. But a full 64% of IT pros named performance, and another 15% cited latency. That makes response times a top concern of more than three-quarters (79%) of respondents.
The truth is that most employees working from home don’t have the same enterprise-class connectivity that they enjoy at the office. When network performance suffers, employee performance suffers – and IT is taking that seriously.
